چکیده
Abstract Background Fatigue is a common and debilitating symptom in IBD, affecting the majority of patients with active disease. While impaired energy metabolism may contribute to development fatigue during phases disease, high prevalence remitted IBD less comprehensible. The underlying mechanisms are poorly understood, but disturbance along microbiota-gut-brain-axis seems likely. This study examined brain structural correlates Crohn’s Disease (CD) an (aCD) or quiescent (qCD) state healthy controls (HC). Methods Patients CD (n=45; aCD=22, qCD=23) HC (n=35) underwent MRI at 3T completed questionnaire (WEIMuS) assess somatic (sFat) cognitive (cFat). Whole-brain grey matter volume (GMV) was analysed using CAT12 SPM12. We calculated group differences between as well subgroups extracted raw values anatomical regions significant groups (at p<.005; k=173) for subsequent correlation analyses sFat cFat (Spearman’s ρ). Results had significantly higher mean scores than (both cFat, p<0.001). aCD qCD, were not (p>0.2). Differences GMV (aCD+qCD) detected frontal, temporal, parietal, occipital cortex, putamen cerebellum (all p<.005). Across patient group, above mentioned negatively correlated (Fig. 1). Subgroup analysis revealed negative inferior frontal gyrus aCD, while several other associated both qCD p<.05). No positive correlations observed. Conclusion suggests involvement symptoms CD. more CD, this widespread results indicate possible and/or processing different disease states reflect disturbed brain-gut-interactions fatigue. These findings can help increase our understanding that therapeutic approaches targeting need be considered depending on activity.

Brain Structural Correlates of INTELLIGENCE in ADHD Individuals
Neuroimaging evidences have shown the association of intelligence with several structural brain properties in normal individuals. However, this association for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is need to be investigated. we estimated grey matter density of the brain using MRI scanning on 56 ADHD individuals comprising 30 combined (age=10.44±2.41, IQ=112.13±13.15, male, 24 right h...

We here report a case of a young man who presented to his general practitioner with diarrhea. Inflammatory bowel disease was suspected and a colonoscopy showed aphthous lesions suggestive of Crohns' disease but biopsies revealed eggs of Enterobius vermicularis. When treated for this parasite, his symptoms were alleviated and a followup colonoscopy revealed a normal colon and distal ileum. Enter...

Alborz Mountains is a region of active deformation within Arabia-Eurasia collision zone. The study fault system in western Alborz comprises abundant evidence of active faulting accompanied by occurrence of historical earthquakes. Active tectonics of Manjil-Rudbar fault zone whose movement caused destructive 1990 Manjil-Rudbar earthquake was concentrated in this article through geomorphic and st...
متن کاملStructural correlates of active-staining following magnetic resonance microscopy in the mouse brain
Extensive worldwide efforts are underway to produce knockout mice for each of the ~25,000 mouse genes, which may give new insights into the underlying pathophysiology of neurological disease. Microscopic magnetic resonance imaging (μMRI) is a key method for non-invasive morphological phenotyping, capable of producing high-resolution 3D images of ex-vivo brains, after fixation with an MR contras...
